Macalester College recently hosted Gerald Horne as the Mahmoud El-Kati Distinguished Lectureship in American Studies in the Alexander G. Hill Ballroom. Duchess was pleased to welcome and introduce Dr. Horne, a renowned historian and author, Moores Professor of History and African American Studies at the University of Houston, and one of the nation’s leading scholars on race, class, and global power.

I was going through some academic discussion threads and noticed how often students struggle with coursework, especially when the requirements start getting more complex than expected. Someone casually mentioned Assignment help for UK Students in the middle of the thread, and it made sense because sometimes you just need a different explanation style to understand things properly. Academic writing itself isn't impossible, but it does feel demanding with structure and referencing, so even a small mistake can throw off the whole submission. I keep running into issues where I understand the topic but fail when putting it into a proper format, especially with citations and argument flow. It gets a bit frustrating when formatting takes longer than writing the content…

I read the post about the history behind how Trump got a view of history, and it made me think more about how big events link back to earlier moments in politics that I never knew. One semester when I had so many deadlines I had to write my management assignment while trying to keep up with history readings, so the part about understanding past causes really hit home. It reminded me that looking back can help us see today more clearly.
